LaPorte County Draft Horse Association
The LaPorte County Draft Horse Association is planning our 8th Annual Open
Draft Horse Show. Our local, non-profit, organization is one that is dedicated to
promoting through public exhibition and education, the history and value of the
draft breeds while demonstrating their value in agriculture as well as pleasure.
Last year's show was a great success with exhibitors from several states across
the country. We expect this years show to be even bigger and better. We will be
anticipating great competition in fancy and farm carts/wagons with two and four
draft hitches, leading up to our feature classes demonstrating fancy and farm six
horse wagon hitches. This class is a favorite with the spectators as the
competitors the last 7 years have been quality teams that have given them a
breathtaking exhibition. We have also added a Draft Riding Class which has
been well received.

The competition begins July 25, 2008 at 3:00 pm and continues July 26, 2008 at
the LaPorte County Fairgrounds at 12:00 noon. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
Stall reservation deadline is July 1st.

mailed to you.
